Marie suggests Superwash wool to help with drape and estimated growth with blocking. The yardage/weight should be something in the range of 218-220(ish) yards in 100 grams for substitutions that will create a similar fabric and help you obtain gauge. You will want a tonal colorway.
The suggested needle size is a US 7 or US 8.
-Big Sky Worsted -The shop sample will be knit with Big Sky Fibers Worsted in Tennessee Whiskey. You will be able to see the finished sweater before the official cast on. We will be placing a special order with Big Sky Fibers for anyone who would like to use it for the sweater.
-Cascade 220 Superwash
-Hikoo Trenzado(we do not stock this yarn but can order it)

We are excited to announce that Fibre House is offering Blocking Service. We carry all the blocking supplies you need to block your finished pieces. However, if you don’t have room or time or even the desire, we are happy to do it for you. We strongly believe that blocking is magic and it takes your homemade items to a handmade. For $15 per piece we will handle your handmade items, with the same love and care you would. We will wet block unless requested otherwise. We have the equipment to block lace and cables, straight lines and curved. When dropping off your items, include the notes/finished measurements/diagram page of your pattern with the size you knit clearly indicated, a yarn tag showing fiber content, as well as your name, phone number and email address. Items must be dropped off and picked up at during normal business hours.
Blocking services do NOT include finishing such as seaming and end weaving.
